BIO
My name is Daniel, and I am a 28 year old student in my final year of University.
I have previous work experience in bars, pubs and restaurants, and have been located in this industry for 13 years now. At the age of 24 I decided to go back to university, for a variety of reasons. Not only did I want a bit more excitement in my life, but I also wanted to prove to myself that I had the drive, passion and willpower to finish a university degree. These last 4 years have been some of the most enjoyable times I can remember, and I have loved learning this wide new skillset.
I am always bubbly, and you'll never catch me at a bad time. My greatest skill in the hospitality business has been my willingness to go as far as I can to help a customer, so if you have any reason at all to get in touch, please send me a message, I'd love to hear from you.
I've been an avid video game player since I was 4 years old, starting with Godzilla on the GameBoy, and since then I have been enamoured with this medium. I love to get into the details of the different technical segments of Video Game design, such as level design or sound effects and their impact on games, and would love to work in a sector of game development that utilises these characteristics

Personal Life
Now you've seen my professional information, it's also important to know about someone's life outside of work.
In my free time, I have various hobbies. Aside from the (obvious) hobby of video games, I also have a plethora of other activities I engage in. If anyone has any questions, or also takes part in similar hobbies please give me a shout through the contact form, it's always great to get in touch with similar people!
Card Games:
I adore card games. They're generally accessable to people of all different types, Old/young, Male/Female, 'Nerd'/Otherwise. They're easy to sit around a table and play, yet can delve into really intricate gameplay or rules interactions. As someone who plays a lot of video games, as well as doing Game development, I relish the time that I don't spend in front of a screen. Getting free time to sit around a table, inside or out, and talk with friends/new people while we lay some cards down is such a refreshing change of pace. I also find Card Games are complex/deep enough that it gives you something to concentrate on, while also allowing you free time to converse when it isn't your turn/while players are thinking their options over.
I have a large card game collection, boasting decks from a variety of different games, including:
* Magic The Gathering
* Yu-Gi-Oh!
* Legends of Runeterra
* Pokemon
* Final Fantasy
* Digimon
While my preference is trading card games, I still have a soft spot for 'traditional' card games. I am a regular player of 'Palace' (Though I know it as a... ruder term), trying to stack cards in order, watching out for wild cards, and clearing your backline before you are the final player left.
Miniture War Games:
Another one of my main hobbies is Warhammer 40k, a tabletop based miniature game by Games Workshop.
I started playing Warhammer 40,000 five years ago while living away from friends and family. It provided a great way to consume my free time, while the kits can be pricy they require a lot of love to cut out, build, and paint. I found I could fill a whole evening just by sitting in the garden and building some models, and it was a great way to spend time with my friends who played when they came up to visit, spending whole days just painting together and conversing. The actual game play is fantastic, though I do still struggle to remember all my rules! I relish any activity that will tear me away from a screen, and spending hours filled with tactics, strategies, victories and losses is so engaging and fun. I've made some great friends across the tabletop, and look forward to meeting anyone who wants a game!
My armies:
* Thousand Sons - 2K~ points
* Sisters of Battle - 500 points, WiP
Animals:
I adore Animals. As a child I grew up on a farm towards the south coast, being surrounded with Chickens, Pigs, Cats, Dogs, Gerbils, EVERYTHING.
As I've grown up, I've kept this love with me, and while It's tough finding rented housing that allows pets, I recently had the pleasure of welcoming a new friend, my dog Rudy.
Not much else to say here, enjoy his picture on the right!
I hope this gave you a good outline as to who I am as a person outside of my professional work. I love talking to people, so if you're a close friend, and employer, or just someone who stumbled across my portfolio and has the same interests or would like to know more, please head to the contact page and send me a message!
